Sinotec has used at least seven different remotes across its TV range, and they are not interchangeable. The quickest way to find yours is the model number on the back of the old remote. If that is gone, the TV model number on the sticker at the back of the set will do. Match either one in the table below.
Match your model
| Your old remote | TV models it came with | Price |
|---|---|---|
| RC-J36 / YKF-Z18A01 | ST-24KC70FN | R179 |

| HS-02JB | STL-19HD51, STL-19HD66, STL-29HD50, STL-39FD36, STL-40E3000, STL-40F360D, STL-42P38D | R179 |

| YKF-Z22A05 | ST-32A3FNB, STL-24EF12, STL32VN23 | R179 |

Where to find the model number
On the remote: turn it over. The model number is printed near the battery cover, usually starting with RC-, HS- or YKF-.
On the TV: the sticker on the back of the set lists the model, usually starting with STL-, ST- or MP-.
Still not sure? WhatsApp a photo of either one to 066 066 0054. We check it against our records and confirm before you order. We do this because remotes bought for the wrong model cannot be returned.
Do I need to program a Sinotec replacement remote?
No. These are direct replacements that use the same codes as the original. Fit two AAA batteries and it works. There is no pairing step and no code list to type in.
Will a universal remote work with a Sinotec TV?
Usually yes for the basics (power, volume, channels, input) but not always for the smart menu, apps or settings on newer models. A model-matched replacement at the same R179 price gives you every button, so we recommend the direct replacement unless your remote isn't listed above.
Why is my Sinotec remote not working?
Before buying a new one, try these:
- Replace the batteries, even if they look fine. Weak batteries cause the most "dead remote" complaints.
- Check the TV responds to its own power button. If it doesn't, the problem is the TV, not the remote.
- Point your phone camera at the remote's tip and press a button. A working remote shows a flickering light on the phone screen. No light means the remote has failed.
- Clean the battery contacts with a dry cloth.
If step 3 shows no light, the remote is gone and a replacement is the fix.
